“INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE OF TAX INFORMATION: OVERVIEW OF MEXICO ON THE RIGHTS OF TAXPAYERS” (THOMSON REUTERS, 2016)

The book “International Exchange of Tax Information: overview of Mexico on the rights of taxpayers” (original title in Spanish: “Intercambio Internacional de Información Tributaria: el panorama en México frente a los derechos de los contribuyentes”), written by Jacob Dabdub, and published in Mexico by Thomson Reuters, presents the theoretical and legal frameworks that govern the international exchange of information on tax matters. Jacob presents applicable standards in Mexican law and provides a general overview of the legal principles that must be considered when implementing this tax policy in Mexico. Finally, he presents a practical application of the theoretical and legal frameworks for the specific case of incorporating and applying the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) in Mexico. Manuel E. Tron, who wrote the prologue, states, “Jacob Dabdub belongs to this new generation of legal scholars who happily bring us closer to a new way of understanding the phenomenon of legal relations… I congratulate Jacob on his literary legal creation, and I am happy to have such a comprehensive and well written piece of work about information exchange and taxpayer rights.”
